Now we talking music!

This is happy day for music industry. Today I finally found great mp3 store which is usable for us - Europeans. It is eMusic. It has quite unique song purchase schema. You pay monthly fee, and for that get some number of song downloads. It's starts from €5.99/month for 10 downloads and goes all the way up to €89.99/month for 300 downloads, so effective price for one track varies from €0.60 to €0.28 and that is as cheap as it goes. I doubt that somewhere is some other, more affordable legal music download service.

eMusic is giving 25 free (trial) downloads for every new subscriber, trial downloads, however, expire in 7 days, after which they bill your credit card for first subscription month. However downloaded songs are yours forever. Auto billing is active, and there are no options to disable it.

All downloads is DRM free mp3s, in decent quality. Used mp3 encoder is LAME3.9x, Joint Stereo, with codec profile VBR V2 which translates to bitrates from 170 to 225 kbps.

In first day I downloaded 28 songs, two albums and one separate song. So far I'm very happy with my finding.

My decision fail!

I wanted to start writing my blog regulary, but you see what happened! Nothing! Only two posts in couple of months - do not seem so regular.

But I have something to write. In my first blog post I mentioned that I got new graphics card from ATI. Last week I upgraded that same card to now top ATI graphics card. Now I use Radeon HD4870. It's trully fast card. It gous nicely with my Quad core CPU (Phenom X4 @ 2.6GHz). Maybe someday I write some more about gaming expierience on my updated gaming PC.

Testing Word publish as blog feature

Some time has passed since my last blog entry. Today I like to try out new feature in Microsoft Word 2007 – save to blog post.

Basically that's it. I have nothing else to say.

Time to lern writing

So! This will be my first blog entry. Its time to start lerning how to write in english. I promise to write at least one blog entry per week.

It would be nice to start with something useful, or at least something remootly interesting. So this interesting part will be my new computer hardware - in more specific terms - its my new graphics card. Whiting for this card I started last year - in middle of december, when I made order in GNT. Its not so unusual that GNT pospone date of order arival. For this particular card it was several times and finaly - yesterday my card arived - it is ATI Radeon HD 3870.



I will definately share my expierence and findings about this card, but first I has to spend some time with it - yesterday I had to little free time on my hands for some useful expierence. This will be topic for some other blog entry.
